The rate of complications and the dangers of premature death due to obesity are closely related. Extreme obesity causes considerable damage to important organs such as the heart and lungs. Due to obesity, the heart and lungs become debilitated and can cause increased heart rate, increased arterial pressure and difficulty breathing and sleep apnea.
